My story

Hi, I'm Houston. I'm a real estate agent and an investor. I enjoy buying and selling houses myself, and I enjoy helping others do it too.

I grew up in Calhoun, moved down the road to Adairsville in 2005, and have called Cartersville home for years now. When I'm not working, I'm usually with my wife and two daughters, exploring small towns for locally owned restaurants and coffee shops or just walking around our neighborhood.

I've said it for years: real estate involves property, but it's really about people and relationships. Any agent can write an offer or open a door. You deserve someone who's upfront and honest, guides you through each step, and celebrates the wins with you.

Being an investor too means I've sat in both the buyer's and seller's seat many times. I know the frustrations, how to avoid a lot of them, and how to work through the rest. It also lets us look at all your options so you can pick what works best for you.

P.S. Over the years I've started more than a dozen Facebook groups that have grown to over 100,000 members. My real estate groups help people buy, sell and rent homes, and the contractor groups help neighbors connect with local contractors.

How I work

• Two options. A listing estimate with prep tips and, depending on the home, an as-is cash price. You choose.
• Plain talk. No jargon and no pressure.
• Clear about my role. When I list your home, I’m your agent. On an as-is sale, I’ll explain my role up front, and it’s spelled out in the Georgia paperwork.
• Done is better than perfect. Small, smart prep usually beats a big, stressful remodel.
